On 18 September 2026 Ubitquity and Nathan Wosnack published a denial of Court File No. CV-26-00017856-0000. It is not a Statement of Defence. Process servers have seen him in a Scarborough Village building. He has not answered the door. He has not been served.
Nine days after the Wosnack claim was issued, Ubitquity’s founder asked Equibit’s registrar to take down the page that reports the pleading and to unmask the registrant. Rebel.com is not the forum in which that claim is tried. A parallel wave of spam backlinks began the week of filing.
Court File No. CV-26-00017856-0000. The Statement of Claim alleges Nathan Wosnack and Ubitquity, LLC registered and operated impersonation websites at equibit.io and equibit.net. The plaintiffs seek damages, injunctions, transfer of the domains, an accounting, and a Norwich order.
During the January 2023 media cycle a journalist linked equibit.io as if it were official. The site used Horlacher’s name and likeness. An April 2019 archive showed a Ubitquity copyright notice. NameCheap later called the site abusive and would not name the registrant.
