On 21 December 2022 the Ontario Superior Court assessed damages of $1,744,711 against Sergei Sachkov on default in the Equibit lawsuit. That judgment was later set aside.
On 16 December 2022 Equibit filed a Second Supplementary Motion Record and Supplementary Factum supporting the damages assessment against Sergei Sachkov.
Court File No. CV-20-00645492-0000. After service and no defence, Justice Myers granted default judgment against Sergei Sachkov on 5 October 2022. Damages were later assessed at $1,744,711. That result was set aside in May 2023.
