Now over a year late filing their defense, on October 1, 2021, the Attorney General finally files a two-page defense. This is only allowed by the Rules of Civil Procedure (RRO 1990 Reg. 194 19.01(5)) because Ontario Courts refuse to note the government in default, a blatantly illegal and unspoken rule that does not extend to anyone other than the government.
